In what seems to a rerun of India's Anju case, a Chinese girl has come to Pakistan to meet her Snapchat friend. According to a report published on Pakistan's ARY News website, a Chinese girl named Gao Fang has come to Pakistan to meet her friend Javed Hashmi in Lower Dir. A police official told the media outlet that Gao Fang and Javed Hashmi were in contact with each other on the social media app Snapchat for three years.

The report also said that Gao Fang and Javed Hashmi have tied the knot. The police official also said that Gao Fang's movement has been temporarily restricted due to security reasons.

Anju, from Rajasthan, has been in the news for crossing the border to meet her social media friend Nasrullah. A new video of Anju has surfaced online where both Anju and Nasrullah are seen enjoying a sightseeing tour of Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the father of Anju has expressed disappointment at her action, saying she has "died" for the family. Anju and his husband Arvind Kumar stayed at Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) where she worked as a data entry operator in a private company.

"What she did, she has defamed family and the country. She has also ruined the future of her two children,” told Anju's father. "What will happen to her children, her husband? Who will take care of her children – a 13-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy," Anju's father said.

According to news reports in Pakistan, Anju has married her Facebook friend in Pakistan after converting to Islam and is now known as Fatima.
