Director Mohit Suri shares updates on debutants

Director Mohit Suri, who launched Ahaan alongside co-star Aneet, spoke about how the newcomers are reacting to the film’s success.

"Once in the morning, once at night," he told NDTV. "They keep sending me videos. They're so happy, they're getting recognised. For them, every day is new, and they want to share it with me. They keep asking, 'Why aren't you here?' It's very sweet."

Suri also shared that Ahaan’s real-life personality is quite different from his on-screen role.

"You haven't seen the videos that he pulled down. The boy is a full 'c*****i TikToker. He's a full, out-there, Gaiety Galaxy boy. But audiences didn't see that side to him because it wasn't required in Saiyaara," he said in a conversation with Komal Nahta.

Music director praises Ahaan’s screen presence

Music composer Mithoon, who worked on Saiyaara’s soundtrack, said the actor carried himself like a seasoned star even before fame.

"When I saw the way Mohit had shot it and the way the film and Ahaan were looking, I immediately felt we should bring Arijit for this song. And the reason for that is—if you see Ahaan's character, that man behaves like a star even before he is a star. He doesn't behave like a newcomer. He owns the stage as if he owns that moment and the world stage, thinking that he is born to shine," Mithoon told the media.
