US Defense Sec. Hegseth: 'You don't have to trust Putin to negotiate' on Ukraine war
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated on Friday that trust is not a prerequisite for negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the Ukraine war. When asked in Warsaw if he trusted Putin to live up to any potential agreement, Hegseth told reporters, "You don't have to trust somebody in order to negotiate with them".
