From iPhone to whale bone: Philadelphia buries time capsule to be opened during US 500th anniversary
An iPhone, a Coca-Cola bottle and a bone from an endangered white whale were among the items sealed in a time capsule buried on Saturday (July 4) in Philadelphia as part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of US independence. The capsule, intended to be opened in 2276 during the nation's 500th anniversary, was lowered into the ground during a ceremony featuring America 250 officials and invited guests.
