New York City socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani addressed President Donald Trump during a press conference on Thursday, in light of a report suggesting that the president is considering getting involved in the race. "Donald Trump has not called me," Mamdani told reporters in New York City. "I want to make it clear that my approach to Washington will not be a reflexive one; it will be one that stands in opposition to Donald Trump's administration when it affects New Yorkers and undermines the welfare of the people I aim to serve," Mamdani continued.
