‘Paid off by Big Pharma’: Dr exposes Medical Journals’ ‘money laundering’ to cover up COVID Vax lies
Maternal-fetal medicine physician Dr. James Thorp delivered explosive testimony at Canada’s Allison Inquiry, questioning pharmaceutical-industry payments to peer reviewers and the independence of medical-journal research on COVID-19 vaccines. Thorp highlighted a 2024 JAMA study reporting $1.06 billion in industry payments to U.S. peer reviewers at four major medical journals from 2020–2022; importantly, most of that total was research funding, and the study itself did not establish that reviewers were “paid off” to influence COVID-vaccine coverage. Calling the situation a “horrible conflict of interest,” Thorp alleged deeper Big Pharma influence over peer review while challenging published narratives surrounding COVID vaccines, pregnancy and vaccine safety.
