In 1991, he opened the Whiskey Bar at New York’s Paramount Hotel, helping lay the foundation for the Gerber Group, which went on to operate bars and lounges in the US and internationally. Gerber’s biggest business success came with Casamigos, the tequila company he co-founded with actor George Clooney and businessman Mike Meldman in 2013.
