Voting tomorrow? How to find your polling place and sample ballot for US Election Day 2026

US midterm election day is almost here. So voters who have yet to check their voting details can take a few minutes to confirm where they need to go and what they will be voting on.

2026 US midterm elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 3. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 Senate seats are on the ballot. Along with state and local contests that vary by location.

Before going to the polls, voters can check their assigned polling place & look for sample ballot via their state/ local election office. Because reviewing these details ahead of time will help prepare for races and ballot measures they will encounter.

How to Find Polling Place for Election Day

Voters can use official USAGov polling place guide. Which can be used to find their state or local election office and check where they are assigned to vote.

The location is based on a voter's residential address and polling places can change between elections. Checking the latest information before leaving home is therefore important, even for people who have voted at the same location in previous elections.

How to Find Your Sample Ballot in Minutes

Finding the polling place is only one part of preparing to vote. A sample ballot shows the candidates and ballot measures that will appear on a voter's actual ballot.

USAGov advises voters to check their state election website to see whether a sample ballot is available to download or can be obtained another way. The ballot depends on the voter's location. So the candidates and issues listed may differ from those in other parts of the country.

Reviewing it before Election Day gives voters a chance to see which races they will be deciding. Voters can find relevant information through the official sample ballot & voter guide resource.
