Japanese company Airweave has manufactured 16,000 modular mattresses and is delivering those to Paris ahead of July 26 opening ceremony, as per a report on New York Post.

Images of the twin-size mattresses, constructed from polyethylene and placed on cardboard bed frames, have sparked curiosity and speculation. Many observers have wondered if the design was intended to discourage romantic encounters, as per the report.
