Matthew McConaughey & wife announce new tequila brand 'Pantalones'

Renowned actor Matthew McConaughey, alongside his wife Camila Alves McConaughey, has embarked on a new venture in the world of tequila, introducing Pantalones Organic Tequila. With their line of "super premium organic tequila," the celebrity couple aims to infuse a sense of lightheartedness into the industry.

Asserting their mission, the McConaugheys state on the company's website, "No. The world doesn’t need another celebrity Tequila. But goodness gracious the Tequila industry sure could use a shot of fun. And that’s exactly what Pantalones is: Really good, really clean fun."

Pantalones at the beginning will have three drinks: Blanco at $39.99, Reposado at $44.99, and Añejo at $49.99.


In a YouTube video unveiling the Pantalones brand, McConaughey questions, "When did tequila stop being tequila?" His wife, Camila, joining him on a motorcycle, adds, "Right where's the fun?" To complement the brand's name, he humorously advises, "Please do not keep yours on." In the video, a playful twist reveals that both of their lower bodies are pixelated. They raise a glass, and it's unveiled that the two motorcycles are on a trailer being towed.

On the Pantalones Instagram page, the couple playfully quips that it's "the best thing we've made with our pants on."

Crafted at the certified organic distillery Tequilera Tap in Amatitan, Jalisco – also home to the production of Tres Agaves tequila – the Reposado undergoes a 9-month aging process, while the Añejo matures for 15 months.
