Lauren Boebert election results: Could Lauren Boebert lose her seat as Democrat Eileen Laubacher takes the lead in Colorado’s safest Republican district?
Republican Lauren Boebert is facing a surprisingly close race in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, a seat long considered one of the safest Republican strongholds in the state. With more than 95% of votes counted, Democrat Eileen Laubacher has taken a narrow lead. The latest figures show Laubacher ahead by just over 2,500 votes. Boebert, however, has told supporters she is not ready to concede as the remaining ballots are counted. The AP hasn't called the race yet.

The race is part of a wider Democratic surge that could reshape Colorado’s congressional delegation.

What are the latest Lauren Boebert election results?

According to the latest results provided, Laubacher has received 176,162 votes, or 48.73%. Boebert is close behind with 173,649 votes, or 48.04%. Libertarian candidate Douglas Mangeris has received 11,669 votes, accounting for 3.23%.

With the count still underway, the contest remains too close to call. Boebert reminded supporters that she has faced a wait before, saying: “This isn’t the first time I’ve had to wait.”

Laubacher, meanwhile, celebrated her campaign's performance at her election night gathering. The information is taken from NBC News and The Denver Post.

“I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished,” she said. “They told us that the district was too Republican.”

Who is Eileen Laubacher?

Laubacher is a retired Navy rear admiral and former Republican who changed her registration to unaffiliated in 2024 before becoming a Democrat in 2025.

She previously served as senior director for South Asia at the National Security Council under former President Joe Biden. She moved to Colorado’s 4th District two years ago and is challenging Boebert in a constituency that has consistently leaned Republican.

Could Colorado's Congressional Delegation turn more Democratic?

The close contest is part of a broader shift across Colorado. Democrat Manny Rutinel defeated Republican Gabe Evans in the 8th District, while Jessica Killin held a lead over Republican Jeff Crank in the 5th District. Democrat Dwayne Romero had also been competing closely with Republican Jeff Hurd in the 3rd District.

Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib said his party would keep waiting for every ballot to be counted.

“We’re not going to rest until every single vote in every district is counted,” he said.

Political observers have cautioned that winning traditionally Republican districts may be easier than holding them in future elections. Democratic strategist Andy Boian said the party could emerge with a seven-to-one advantage in the state's congressional delegation, but warned that the shift might not last. The focus remains on the outstanding ballots in Boebert's race. A lead of a few thousand votes is not yet a final result.
