6 AI startups Jensen Huang and Nvidia engineers have bet on: You will want to know what they are building
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted six AI startups that he believes will play a big role in the future “human-digital workforce”, as per Citadel Securities interview, published Tuesday. Huang has long predicted that AI and humans will work together in the workplace, combining their strengths for better productivity. He said Nvidia engineers and chip designers use the AI tool Cursor to boost their work efficiency.

Top 6 AI startups to watch

The six AI startups Huang mentioned are:
  • OpenAI – makes large language models.
  • Harvey – a legal tech AI.
  • OpenEvidence – an AI healthcare tool.
  • Replit – AI-powered coding platform.
  • Cursor – AI coding assistant.
  • Lovable – offers “vibe coding” AI tools.
Huang said, "Future workforces in enterprise will be a combination of humans and digital humans. Some of them will be OpenAI-based, and some of them would be Harvey-based or Open Evidence or Cursor or Replit or Lovable", as stated in the report by Business Insider.

Nvidia is investing up to $100 billion in OpenAI to build data centers running its systems as per the company's announcement last month. Huang gave special attention to Cursor, owned by Anysphere. He revealed, “100% of Nvidia's software engineers and chip designers use Cursor.” He added, "We now have AIs for all of our engineers. Productivity gains, the work that we do is so much better".

Nvidia declined to give any further comments about the startups or Cursor. In June, Business Insider reported Amazon was in talks with Cursor to use it internally after employees requested the tool, as stated in the report by Business Insider, June. Huang has repeatedly emphasized that AI agents can break tasks into smaller steps, each doing a part of a bigger job, showing how humans and AI will complement each other.

Human-AI Collaboration and Future Plans

In January at CES, Huang said, “The age of agentic AI is here,” signaling a new era of human-AI collaboration. In an October podcast, Huang described a future where Nvidia could have 50,000 human employees and 100 million AI assistants across all divisions to improve productivity, saying, "I'm hoping that Nvidia someday will be a 50,000-employee company with a 100 million, you know, AI assistants, in every single group."

Venture capitalists are also paying attention. General Catalyst CEO Hemant Taneja said true AI integration has four must-have steps, including planning how humans and AI work together. Taneja explained, "Some humans are going to manage AI agents. Some AI agents are going to manage humans. Imagine how the org charts have to change."
