This Morning was able to help viewers get into the Christmas mood with the assistance of Sir Cliff Richard, who stopped on for a talk as well as a special performance. On Tuesday, the musician appeared as a live guest on the ITV daytime show hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Cliff was present to discuss his upcoming tour, The Blue Sapphire Tour, which will begin in November of the following year. In addition to promoting his most recent album, Christmas with Cliff, which is currently in second place in the UK album charts, behind Stormzy's third album, This Is What I Mean, Cliff was also present to talk about his upcoming tour.

And not long after that, Phillip asked the 82-year-old musician whether he had plans to put up his axe when he reached middle age. Phillip was surprised to hear that the musician had no such plans.

Following Holly's assurance that Cliff would get everyone into the "Yuletide spirit," Sir Cliff performed his newest song, "Heart of Christmas," which was well received by the audience. Most of This Morning's viewers seemed to like the show's decision to provide more festive happiness.

Several people were under the impression that Sir Cliff was playing live, but others went to the internet to question whether or not he was.
