Holly Willoughby talks about Phillip Schofield's revelations. See what she said

Holly Willoughby, who has returned to ‘This Morning’ show for the first time after the announcement of Phillip Schofield that he was leaving the programme, has said that she feels "shaken, troubled, let down and worried" after the 61-year-old fellow presenter revealed about his secret affair.

Willoughby asked the viewers of the ITV daytime show "Are you okay?" while saying that "we gave love and support to someone who was not telling the truth."

The 42-year-old TV presenter told viewers, “Hi there. Good morning. Josie [Gibson], thank you for being here. Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you okay? It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil.”


Willoughby, whose voice sounded shaken and appeared to be crying, said, "I imagine you might have a feeling a lot like I have - shaken, troubled, let down and worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on. And full of questions. You, me and all of us at This Morning gave love and support to someone who was not telling the truth.”

"Who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from TV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process. And it's equally hard to see the toll that it'd take on their own mental health."

The TV presenter went on to say: "I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal, for the health and wellbeing of everyone.”
