Aldi announces 16 locations in UK where it wants to open stores
Aldi has revealed the list of 16 locations across the UK, which includes Birmingham, Warwick, Chesterfield, Penzance, Maidenhead, Leicester, Derby, etc.

The list of new locations includes Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Leicester, Brentwood, York, Sunderland, Chesterfield, and more. Aldi also confirmed that it would be hiring 6,000 workers soon, 3,000 of which are expected to join before the festive season begins. Moreover, Aldi aims to expand in smaller towns, with confirmed locations like Maidenhead, Warwick, and Penzance.
Aldi is looking for town-center or edge-of-center locations to open new stores. A Mirror report indicated that each new location would have a storage area of 20,000 sq. ft. and a parking space for 100 vehicles. Each store will be near the main road for ease of access and visibility.
Aldi CEO for UK and Ireland, Giles Hurley, said that millions of households affected by the rising living costs rely on Aldi for bringing products for the lowest possible prices. The company had earlier confirmed that it was witnessing record footfalls since the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted six months ago. Kantar data suggested that over 1.5 million customers had visited Aldi over the last 12 weeks.
