Mondelez joins other companies in scaling back business in Russia

The Cadbury chocolate maker is joining other consumer packaged goods companies including Kraft Heinz Co and Nestle SA in stepping back from Russia as it continues its invasion of Ukraine.

Mondelez International Inc CEO Dirk Van de Put said the packaged food maker is scaling back all non-essential activities in Russia while helping maintain "continuity" of the food supply, according to a memo posted on the company's website.

The Cadbury chocolate maker is joining other consumer packaged goods companies including Kraft Heinz Co and Nestle SA in stepping back from Russia as it continues its invasion of Ukraine.

Van de Put said in the statement that the company is discontinuing all new capital investments and suspending advertising media spending as well.
