According to guidelines issued by the state government, certain other relaxations have been allowed amidst Covid restrictions with parlours, salons will remain open between 11-6pm with 50% strength. Staff and customers need to be vaccinated while markets will remain open between 6-12pm.
Gyms will reopen for the first time with 50% strength between 6-10am and 4-8pm. Private offices to open between 10-4pm with 50% strength. Organisation will have to arrange transport for employees, the new guideline said.
Banerjee said the banks will remain open between 10-2pm. Other shops remain open between- 11-8pm. However, the train services will remain suspended as of now.
All government offices, other than emergency services, will be allowed to open with 25% staff strength. Private and corporate offices can be opened with 50 percent strength, subject to vaccination.
The COVID cases in Bengal has dipped below 2000 recently, with the total number of new cases touching 1761 on June 28.
