'We want happiness, no responsibility': Mohan Bhagwat on live-in, gender debate in Hyderabad

Addressing a Vishwa Mangalya Sabha seminar in Hyderabad, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke about traditional family structures, stating that “marriage is a discipline which instils dharma.” He described certain alternative arrangements as “degradation” and “blind imitation of Western culture,” while discussing changing social norms. Bhagwat also addressed gender debates, saying the idea that either a man or a woman can do everything independently is an “illusion” and that cooperation between men and women is essential for society.
