Paper Leak Bill 2026: BJP backs ‘stringent law’, Oppn hits out at govt on student protests
The Centre introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in Parliament, with Union ministers stating that the legislation aims to strengthen action against exam paper leaks and unfair practices. Opposition leaders, including Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, SP MP Akhilesh Yadav and others, raised concerns over student protests, accountability and the implementation of the proposed law.
