Vandita Sharma named Karnataka's new chief secretary

She is from the 1986 batch of the IAS and currently serves as Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner. She will succeed P Ravi Kumar who will retire on May 31.

The State Government on Friday appointed Vandita Sharma as the new chief secretary of Karnataka.

She is from the 1986 batch of the IAS and currently serves as Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner. She will succeed P Ravi Kumar who will retire on May 31.

Sharma will retire in November 2023 and will be the chief secretary during the assembly elections next year.
