‘Vadodara to Mumbai in 90 mins’: Vaishnaw addresses youth in Vadodara; hails bullet train progress
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw addresses students and professionals at the 'NaMo for Viksit Bharat' event in Vadodara and says, "The modern face of Indian Railways that is emerging will benefit many future generations," while pitching reforms, new wagon designs for salt transport, and showcasing the Chenab Bridge and Mizoram rail link as examples. He announces that the Surat-Vapi bullet train section "will be finished by December of this year," India's own bullet train body "will be on the tracks for testing" by May or June next year, and tells the Vadodara youth, "When you ride the bullet train from Vadodara, you will reach Mumbai in just an hour and a half."
