Delhi: Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong said China-India trade reached a record $155.6 billion in 2025, registering over 12% year-on-year growth, while Indian exports to China rose by 9.7%. Speaking at the 2026 Chinese New Year Reception, he attributed the rise to improving bilateral relations following President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting in Tianjin last August. Xu said growing political engagement, trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges highlight the strong potential for deeper economic ties between the two countries.
