‘Strategic autonomy will be the norm’: Jaishankar on multipolar world, India-Africa ties
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has called for stronger India-Africa cooperation and reforms in global institutions during a Q&A session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Highlighting the impact of the fuel, food, fertiliser and finance crisis on the Global South, he said developing countries must work together to make their concerns heard. Jaishankar also explained how diversifying partnerships and reducing strategic vulnerabilities can strengthen autonomy in an increasingly multipolar world. On India-Ethiopia ties, he highlighted potential cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, digital technology, space, drones and professional training.
