NEET leak accused Havaldar sent to six-day CBI custody; SC slams NTA, says ‘Haven’t Learnt Lessons’

The alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case intensified after a Delhi court sent accused Manisha Sanjay Havaldar to six days of CBI custody. The CBI alleged that the Pune-based Physics lecturer reconstructed examination questions from memory after translation work and shared them with co-accused and students for monetary benefits.Meanwhile, the Supreme Court issued notices to the Centre, the National Testing Agency and the CBI over petitions linked to the NEET leak controversy. The bench of Justices P. S. Narasimha and Alok Aradhe observed that the NTA appeared not to have “learnt its lesson” despite earlier interventions and sought a compliance affidavit before the next hearing.
