Hemanth, a mechanical engineer from Konaseema district, will never forget his first Sankranti at his in-laws' place. Recently married and working in Germany, he was expecting a simple celebration. But what awaited him was nothing short of a culinary marvel—a lavish spread of 666 varieties of food from across India, all prepared to mark his first Sankranti with his new family, reported TOI.

According to the report, the meal included an impressive array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian pickles, curries, dry fruits, Konaseema delicacies, fruits, ice creams, soft drinks, herbal drinks, and even sugarcane. But the feast didn’t stop there—prasadams from renowned temples like Tirupati, Srisailam, and Vijayawada’s Kanaka Durga temple were also part of the spread.

The grand feast was the brainchild of Hemanth’s father-in-law, Janga Bujji, who enlisted the help of 40 cooks and family members to prepare the spread from 3 am to noon, said TOI. His goal? To make this occasion unforgettable for his son-in-law. "I first thought of 365 varieties, symbolizing the days of the year. But then I chose 666, as it's an auspicious number," explained Bujji, a businessman.

The emotional moment was palpable as Hemanth, overwhelmed by the love and effort, had tears rolling down his face.
