Sambhal UP: Fear of bulldozer drives villagers to raze their own mosque
In a rare act of compliance, villagers in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district demolished their own mosque before officials could bring in a bulldozer. Declared illegal for standing on pond land, the structure was peacefully taken down by locals fearing government action.
