Raghav Chadha gets 'attacked' by crow outside Parliament, BJP quips ‘Jhooth Bole...’

The Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party has tweeted pics of a crow troubling AAP leader Raghav Chadha outside Parliament, quipping an old Hindi saying "Jhoot Bole Kauvva Kate" or the crow bites the liar. In the photo, Raghav Chadha was seen talking on the phone and then ducking to avoid a crow. "Till today, we only heard it. Today, we have seen the crow bite the liar," the Delhi BJP unit captioned the post.

BJP leader Tejinder Pall Singh Bagga also tweeted the photo of the crow brushing past Raghav Chadha. "My heart is very distressed by the news of attack by crows on Honorable MP @raghav_chadha ji. Hope you are in good health," the BJP leader captioned the post.

Later, Raghav Chadha did not miss the opportunity to get back at the BJP. The AAP leader retweeted it saying, "Ramchandra has said that such Kalyug will come from Siya, The swan will eat the grains and the crow will eat the pearls. Till today only heard, today also saw," in Hindi.



Today, in Parliament, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla admitted a no-confidence motion against the government by the Congress on behalf of the opposition alliance. AAP leader Raghav Chadha has accused the BJP of obstructing the functioning of Parliament, citing the escalating situation in Manipur.



Meanwhile on the contentious issue of controversial Delhi ordinance, news reports, citing sources, said the Union Cabinet has given its nod on Tuesday to a bill that will replace the ordinance promulgated for the creation of an authority for transfers and postings of Group-A officers in Delhi. And the bill is expected to be tabled in the ongoing Monsoon session of Parliament to replace the ordinance. An ordinance is promulgated by the President on the recommendation of the Union Cabinet when the Parliament is not in session. It is mandatory for the Parliament to adopt a law to replace the ordinance within six weeks of the commencement of the next session.

The controversial Delhi ordinance was promulgated by the central government on May 19, a week after the Supreme Court handed over the control of services in Delhi excluding police, public order and land to the elected government headed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Aam Admi Party had reacted strongly against the ordinance saying the Centre had "deceived" the people of Delhi. Many opposition parties had also come out against the ordinance. (With Agency Inputs)
