NVS-03 ‘Eye In The Sky’ enters orbit: ISRO Chief announces GSLV-F18 mission success
ISRO successfully launches the 2,250-kg NVS-03 navigation satellite aboard the GSLV-F18 rocket, injecting it into the intended Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. Announcing the mission's success, ISRO Chairman Dr V. Narayanan congratulates the teams and highlights the 56-day turnaround between successive GSLV missions. The launch restores India's NavIC constellation to its minimum operational configuration of four satellites. NVS-03 carries an indigenous atomic clock and introduces the L1 signal alongside the existing L5 and S-band signals. NavIC provides independent positioning, navigation and timing services across India and a region extending 1,500 km beyond its borders.
