Nun rape case: Kerala court acquits former Bishop Franco Mulakkal
Former Bishop Franco Mullackal has been acquitted in the nun rape and assault case by Kottayam Additional Sessions Court on Friday. The court said the prosecution and police have failed to produce evidence against Mulakkal. The verdict was pronounced by Additional Sessions Court judge G Gopakumar. The priest was booked by Kottayam police in Kerala in 2018.
