Northeast security alert: Assam police arrests 11 linked to IMK; Bangladesh-based radical network
Eleven people were arrested in Assam and Tripura for alleged links with Bangladesh-based extremist groups aiming to destabilise the Northeast, police said. Assam Police STF carried out coordinated raids based on intelligence inputs from central agencies. The accused are allegedly linked to the Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK), a banned JMB offshoot. Authorities say the network poses a serious threat to national security.
