‘Nations need not just infrastructure & connectivity, but…’: Jaishankar at UNCITRAL anniversary
Speaking at the inaugural International Conference commemorating 60 years of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, EAM Dr S Jaishankar said geopolitical volatility, supply chain disruptions and rapid technological shifts are reshaping global commerce. He stressed that no country can remain resilient in isolation and called for greater legal predictability through harmonised, rules-based frameworks. Jaishankar highlighted the importance of seamless cross-border trade, data flows, contract enforcement and efficient dispute resolution mechanisms to ensure global commerce remains resilient amid continuing disruptions.
