The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved two major initiatives worth a combined ₹4,294 crore. A ₹1,264-crore project will add third and fourth railway lines across a 46-km Ballari-Guntakal corridor, boosting freight capacity and connectivity between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The Cabinet has also approved the ₹3,030-crore BHAVYA-Rasayan Scheme to establish three dedicated chemical parks, with central support for common infrastructure and utilities. The projects aim to strengthen logistics, industrial growth and domestic manufacturing.
