Massive fire grips residential building in Delhi’s Palam colony, leaves 9 dead, 3 injured

9 people died and 3 injured after fire broke out in a residential building in Sadh Nagar area of Palam on March 18. 30 fire brigades already arrived at the spot and were engaged in dousing the blaze. Further details are awaited. “We arrived at the spot within 10 minutes, and Delhi fire service and other agencies were trying to extinguish the fire... We removed two dead bodies from there. The building is damaged from the inside... and doing a rescue operation in such a building is a big challenge... Nearby buildings have been evacuated,” said NDRF Deputy Inspector Vicky Ranga.
