Macron confirms India to co-produce Rafale, 114-jet order, supports ‘Make in India’
French President Emmanuel Macron concluded his three-day visit to India with strong signals on defence and strategic cooperation. Backing the expansion of Rafale fighter jet procurement, Macron said the aircraft strengthens India militarily and strategically while reinforcing bilateral ties. France has committed to increasing indigenous content in “Made-in-India” Rafale jets, with plans to co-produce up to 114 additional aircraft in India.
