Kishau Dam: Six states sign MoA, Himachal CM Sukhu highlights ₹1,200–1,500 Cr revenue

In major step for water resource development, inter-state cooperation, 6 states have signed MoA for long-pending Kishau multipurpose project. Agreement was signed by CMs of UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and haryana in presence of Home Minister Amit sha. The development marks an important milestone for upper Yamuna basin. Nearly 28 MoAs were signed between 6 states and centre as part of agreement process. Kishau project is 3rd major multipurpose project for which 6 states have entered into a construction agreement. The project is expected to provide irrigation benefits to around 0.97 lakh hectares of agricultural land.
