‘Jail them!’: After Nepal, Philippines erupts in $9.5B flood scam protests
Just weeks after anti-corruption protests rocked Nepal, thousands marched in Manila against a $9.5B flood-control scam implicating lawmakers, officials, and tycoons. Protesters waved banners saying “Jail them,” as outrage grew over luxury cars flaunted by contractors accused of paying massive kickbacks.
