India’s cities are giant parking lots: Raghav Chadha demands National Urban Decongestion Mission

Raghav Chadha, speaking in the Rajya Sabha, highlighted the severe impact of traffic congestion in India’s metro cities, including Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai. On average, commuters spend 100–168 hours a year stuck in traffic, resulting in lost productivity, wasted fuel, increased pollution, and reduced quality of life.
