India, Sri Lanka rehearse counter-terror ops, combat skills in joint exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025

The 11th edition of Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025, a joint military exercise between the Indian and Sri Lankan Armies, is underway at Belagavi, Karnataka, from November 10–23. The drill focuses on counter-terrorism, peacekeeping operations, and interoperability, featuring drones, C-UAS systems, unarmed combat rehearsals, and indigenous weapons displays. Conducted annually since 2012, the exercise strengthens defence cooperation and operational synergy between the two neighbouring armies.
