India, Seychelles announce $175m economic package; multiple MoUs signed as ties enter new phase

India and Seychelles announced a $175 million Special Economic Package to support Seychelles’ development across public housing, infrastructure, mobility, capacity building and maritime security. Multiple MoUs were signed in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and Seychelles President Patrick Herminie, covering fintech, digital solutions, civil services training, renewable energy, climate resilience and people-to-people exchanges.
