Goyal recalls Ukraine rescue, urges Indians in Germany to keep motherland close to heart

Addressing the Indian diaspora in Germany, Union Minister Piyush Goyal recalled how India worked to evacuate students stranded in Sumy, Ukraine, during the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022. He spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s conversations with the Russian and Ukrainian leadership and the assurance of safe passage for Indian citizens during Operation Ganga. He said, we’ll always stand by you. Goyal urged Indians abroad to embrace their Karma Bhoomi while keeping their Matra Bhoomi close to their hearts, saying India would always stand by its citizens.
