German companies no longer see India only as a market, but as partner: Piyush Goyal
German companies are exploring investment opportunities in India in precision engineering, aerospace, defence and shipbuilding, besides healthcare, pharmaceuticals and research and development, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said, pointing to growing business interest as European firms look to diversify manufacturing and supply chains. Talking to reporters during his visit to Germany and The Netherlands with a delegation of Indian businesses and startups to explore opportunities in trade, investment and industrial cooperation, Goyal said German companies had publicly announced investments worth $7.4 billion in India with some of these already materialising.
