Delhi Weather Update Today
Delhi on Friday woke up to experience hazy weather, with both air quality and visibility remaining a concern. According to AccuWeather, the temperature as of this morning stood at 10°C. Despite the chilly start to the day, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 23°C, while the minimum is likely to dip to 8°C tonight.

The forecast highlights hazy conditions throughout the day and night. A significant concern, however, is the air quality, which remains classified as "severe", at 434, as per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 is satisfactory, 101-200 is moderate, 201-300 is poor, while 301-400 is very poor and 401-500 is severe.

Light winds from the northeast at 7 km/h, with gusts up to 13 km/h, may do little to disperse the pollutants hanging over the city.

Delhi Weather: Fog Engulf the city

Visuals surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) which showed the national capital engulfed in a thick layer of fog.

On Tuesday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 5°C, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The entire National Capital Region (NCR) has been under Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) since December 16, following a significant decline in air quality.

The measures were implemented after the city's Air Quality Index (AQI) breached the critical 400 mark. On Monday night, the AQI stood at 399 at 9 PM but escalated to 401—entering the "severe" category—by 10 PM.

Delhi Temperature: Low visibility at Delhi airport

The ongoing cold wave in the national capital brought low visibility conditions on Thursday morning.

With the minimum temperature dropping to 7.4°C, visibility in Delhi was recorded at just 250 meters at 8 a.m.

In response, the Delhi Airport had issued a passenger advisory on X, urging travelers to check with their airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules before heading to the airport.

"Low visibility procedures are still in progress at Delhi Airport. However, there has been no impact on flight operations. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information," the advisory said.
