Delhi HC hears CBI plea in excise case, stays remarks made by trial court

The Delhi High Court stayed adverse remarks made against the CBI and its investigating officer in the Delhi excise policy case while hearing the agency’s appeal against a trial court order that discharged all 23 accused. The court also asked the trial court to defer proceedings in the related PMLA case. The appeal challenges the February 27 order that discharged Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and others.
