Covid-19 Omicron variant: No case found in India so far; PM flags concerns over new variant
India has so far not detected any case of the newly-discovered, highly transmissible Covid-19 variant Omicron. The Indian government has already put in place stricter guidelines for travellers coming from or transiting through 'at-risk' countries. The Centre has also given directions to the states to enhance testing and surveillance measures and improve health facilities.
