'Govt has opened up the space sector': IN-SPACe chief outlines India's space vision

IN-SPACe Chairman Pawan Goenka said the government has “opened up the space sector” by introducing policies, creating an enabling environment and providing incentives, subsidies and financial support to space companies. Speaking at the India Space Congress 2026, Goenka said investors are increasingly backing Indian space startups and added that when “investors, the industry, and the government” come together, India’s long-term space vision can be achieved.
