Congress Party and Goa Forward Party leaders
The Congress and Goa Forward Party on Tuesday resolved to fight together against the BJP in the upcoming assembly polls in Goa.

The AICC advertised the pact by releasing the photograph of Rahul Gandhi and GFP leaders Vijay Sardesai and Vinod Palyekar on Tuesday. Independent MLA Prasad Gaonkar too was present and he extended backing to the Congress.

"Continuance of Goa under BJP rule is an impossibility!...The curse of the communal and anti-Goan Pramod Sawant govt will be blown away!," tweeted Sardesai, who had upset Congress' post-poll calculations in 2017 when he aligned GFP with BJP and helped the saffron party form the regime. The Congress and GFP renewed alliance talks after the latter briefly flirted with Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool.
