‘Conflict in Venezuela is about oil’: Experts say India unaffected but global tensions may rise
Experts say the recent US strike on Venezuela is driven by minerals and oil, not democracy. Former MoS, MEA, MJ Akbar highlighted that Venezuela holds the largest proven oil reserves in the world, even bigger than Saudi Arabia, while Former Indian Ambassador to Venezuela R. Viswanathan assured that India’s trade and oil exposure is minimal, so the country is largely unaffected.
