Amit Shah announces 1,096-km border road project, new fencing & water supply for Rajasthan BOPs

Bikaner, Rajasthan: Union Home Minister Amit Shah interacts with BSF personnel, inaugurates barracks for women personnel. He says, “This location serves as a vital Border Outpost (BOP) for the 179th Battalion. We have initiated the construction of a lateral road spanning the entire Rajasthan desert. This will alleviate many of the hardships you currently face. This project comprises a lateral road approximately 1,096 kms in length, alongside an axial road spanning 520 kms. Together, these two routes will ensure the provision of all necessary amenities for BSF personnel, while simultaneously establishing a robust and highly functional connectivity network. Work is currently underway at this very site to install a new design fencing system.
