₹213-cr ropeway to boost Kamakhya Temple tourism, cut travel time from 20 to 6 minutes

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that ₹213 crore has been sanctioned for the Kamakhya Ropeway Project, aimed at boosting religious tourism and easing access to the revered Kamakhya Devi Temple. The 1.43-km ropeway will connect Nilachal Hill with Guwahati Railway Station, cut travel time from 20 minutes to around 6 minutes.
