Schneider Electric joins hands with leading Indian firms to combat climate change

Aligned with the nation’s commitment towards climate change, the company launched the Green Yodha initiative last year on the backdrop of COP26. Through this, the company has called upon businesses organizations, NGOs, and institutions to act faster, adopt clean-energy and other climate-positive technologies to become ‘warriors’ for the planet. In November, the company celebrated the first anniversary of its Green Yodha campaign.
Highlighting the importance of Green Yodha initiative, Rajat Abbi, vice president- global marketing, Schneider Electric, Greater India said, “We are thrilled and motivated with the support received from governments and industries across sectors over the last year. We have also taken the purpose of Green Yodha through a countrywide Yatra, which envisaged targeted outreach in tier 2 cities. We want Green Yodha to make it a mass movement that brings everyone from taking decisive climate action.”
Technology transfer and collaborations in the industry will be pivotal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070, a target which was announced by PM Modi last year. "The global shift towards sustainability has resulted in an eco-awakening within the society with more and more customers holding businesses accountable and demanding them to drive a positive change towards sustainability, faster," Abbi added.
